Pioneering the Leprosy Project
The Leprosy Project was founded in 2002 by the Edo Community, to promote the awareness of the leprosy disease and its effects on victims. Since then we have donated items such as bandages, injections, disinfectants, soaps and beds and mattresses to the leprosy home in Ogan in Edo State, Nigeria.
In 2006, the community gave financial assistance to the Benin central hospital in Edo State towards the renovation of the children’s ward. Items such as ceiling fans, lighting materials and hospital equipment were donated as well.
